As a woman business owner opening a business at the bottom of the economic down turn I was told, “Don’t do it," “You shouldn’t do it," “You will never be able to do it” and yet we have!  I have the honor of being someone in the community that is a leader in the complementary and alternative medicine field. Awaken Wellness creates jobs for our community and creates a space for those practicing the healing arts to have a community of practitioners to work with and learn from.  This in turn creates the safe healing space for you to do your healing work. I have many hats that I wear here at the center, and yet the most important is my hat of partnership with all whom I interact with such that life shows up as freedom and joy of all.

I have been in the customer service industry with Toyota Motor Company for 16 years. I'm also a licensed REALTOR® with Long and Foster serving Columbia, Howard, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll and Frederick Counties.

I have completed continuing education in business development, management, accounting, insurance billing, and web design. I am also a level III Master Usui Reiki practitioner. As the CFO, I manage  payroll, marketing, overseeing hiring and co-creating with the CEO, my wife, Jennifer Stukey. As a team leader, I assist the administrative team and our practitioners in fulfilling on their dreams of an ideal practice. I am available to you in making your path to wellness a joyous and positive journey.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the healing community that is Awaken Wellness, as its newest Administrative Assistant.  I am here to assist you with checking in and out, scheduling, and any questions that may come up. I also am a dedicated wife and mother of 4 boys.  I have a degree in Music Education and enjoy the arts and anything outdoors. I have a personal dedication to health and wellness and a great desire to help others.  I firmly believe good health is its own benefit.

Awaken Wellness is a wonderfully nurturing and supportive place to help with a healthier and happier life.  I look forward to getting to know you all and helping you make more healthy choices part of your daily life.

I started working at Awaken Wellness as the volunteer tending to our wellness classroom. My role developed into Administrative Assistant where I have the pleasure of meeting many of you in our community. My position then organically progressed to being the Director of Programs. As the Director of Programs I work closely and co-create with the CEO, Jennifer Stukey. Besides being an integral role in building a team among our teachers and implementing our in house programs, I am responsible for our community outreach programs such as health fairs and corporate wellness events and for the addition of new teachers here at the center.  It has been a fun and natural process and I have enjoyed every interaction along the way. I am excited about my contribution to the growth and development of such an amazing community of healers and clients. I look forward to working with you all. I believe that my role as the Director of Programs is a position that will benefit everyone involved. I am look forward to the possibilities that lay before us.

Awaken Wellness has given me a wonderful opportunity to have a hand in creating a calm, healing atmosphere at the Center.  While I have not worked professionally in interior design, I have always enjoyed making my personal space a beautiful and comfortable one through the art of decorating. I enjoy working with color, textures, spatial relations, visual details, and other elements of design, blending such elements in a harmonious result, using a thread of consistency throughout the design while offering distinction in each space.
